Good Friday

Join us for our Good Friday worship service as we walk together through the final hours of Jesus’ journey to the cross.

In a departure from our usual format, this service will center entirely on Scripture and reflection. Drawing on the rich tradition of the Stations of the Cross — long observed in Catholic settings but belonging to the whole Church — we will read fourteen passages from Scripture that trace Jesus’ path from his condemnation to his burial. Each station invites us to slow down, look closely, and stand in the shadow of the cross.

Interspersed with the readings, we will gather our voices in song — not in celebration, but in solemn, heartfelt worship befitting this most somber day in the Christian calendar. There will be no sermon. The Scriptures themselves will speak.

The service will conclude in darkness and silence, a stark and powerful reminder of what the world looked like before Easter morning. We invite you to sit in that darkness for a moment — and to carry it with you as you await the resurrection.

All are welcome. You need not come from a Catholic tradition to find meaning in these ancient stations. This is Holy Week for the whole people of God.
