Enjoy a cup of coffee and relax with us!
Commonly Asked Questions
Where should I go when I arrive?
From the parking lot, join us at the large “Welcome” sign. From there, you will head into the main entrance where you will find one of our door greeters that will help you find the worship space.
What should I wear?
You will find a wide range of outfits at Asbury ranging from jeans to suits and dresses. Our rule is… Be Comfortable!
What is a typical service like?
At 8:45 AM we have our Traditional Worship Experience with hymns and choruses featuring our pipe organ. Our choir usually sings at this service and a special time for children’s teaching or ministry moments are often a part of each worship experience. You might also hear our bell choir or other special music at this service. Pastor Nick shares a relevant message and the service lasts about 1 hour.
At 11:00 AM we have our Contemporary Worship Experience in our Contemporary Worship Center, which features our band and praise team leading contemporary worship songs. Pastor Nick shares a relevant message and the service usually ends by noon.
What happens when I give you my contact info?
After you visit us, we will reach out to see if you have any questions and invite you to our monthly “Pastor’s Breakfast”. The pastor’s breakfast meets on the first Sunday of every month and is an informational time to learn more about Asbury, meet Pastor Nick, and about the opportunities you can experience to grow closer to God.
Should I bring anything with me?
Come as you are and we will provide everything you need. There are bibles in the pews, pens and paper for taking notes, and song lyrics and scripture will be on the screens in the front of the room.
Am I expected to give money?
We collect an offering at both services as an act of worship. Giving is our way of showing our trust in the Lord and our offering of thanksgiving for His blessings. This is for our regular attenders and guests should not feel obligated to give.
What do you have for my kids?
Sunday School is available for 3 year old’s (potty-trained) to high school from 10 to 10:50 AM.
Kid’s church is during our 11:00 service for children who are at least 3 years old. Children will have their own bible lesson and activities while their parents are in worship.
Where can I nurse or bottle feed?
We welcome you to nurse or bottle feed anywhere at Asbury. We have a Nursing Area located in the Prayer Room (located between the Sanctuary and the exterior doors to the south of the Sanctuary). The door locks for privacy.
Where are the changing tables?
Changing tables are located in the Men’s and Women’s bathrooms upstairs (near the Worship Center), in the nursery (Green Room) as well as the Blue, Orange, Yellow, and Purple rooms.
What does Asbury do to protect my children?
At Asbury, we have a Child and Youth Protection Policy to implement safety measures to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety of all of our children and youth. For more information, review our Child and Youth Protection Policy located on the Resources page.
